During our staff meeting on Monday, we were discussing how many students today are afraid of failure.  My colleagues started asking about how we can create a learning environment and culture that doesn’t focus on rating the students when they are up against being measured by standards. How can we focus on developing their creativity and ingenuity?  This caused me to ask the following question—How do we help students realize that failures are inevitable and that success and growth come from it?
