Are our students talking enough? 65/180

Screen Shot 2015-12-08 at 10.25.29 AMHow skilled are our students at “thinking aloud” during problem solving?  Do they ask questions to clarify their thinking?  For example, take a look at the graphic and question.  What questions would you ask before you could answer the question? How do we engage students in talking about problems in practice? How would students benefit by talking about this problem with a table of learners?  How can we scaffold this process for students?
